Pain Medicine

Pain Medicine Fellowship is a 1-year ACGME-accredited subspecialty program that trains physicians to become experts in diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic pain conditions. This fellowship is typically pursued after completing residency in:
✔ Anesthesiology
✔ Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
✔ Neurology
✔ Psychiatry

  • Acute pain (post-surgical, trauma)

  • Chronic pain (neuropathic, musculoskeletal, cancer-related)

  • Headache & facial pain disorders

  • Pediatric & geriatric pain

Advanced Diagnostics

  • Electrodiagnostics (EMG/NCS)

  • Ultrasound-guided assessments

  • Advanced imaging interpretation (MRI/CT)

Interventional Pain Techniques

  • Epidural steroid injections (cervical/lumbar)

  • Facet joint & medial branch blocks

  • Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)

  • Spinal cord stimulator trials/implants

  • Peripheral nerve stimulation

  • Intrathecal pump management
